"No, Shane, wait. I— have you, um, checked the news? Anything?"
"Not really—" Shane replies as they get in the car, because, really, he hasn't.
"The plane the Centaurs were on has—"
"Oh, they— they've told me," Shane whispers.
"Did you know Ilya still has David as his emergency contact?"

Tonight, he slips quietly into bed, he turns the framed picture with San the other way around, he ignores every text message he still has to reply to. Tonight, he just does his best to not cry himself to sleep.
