Summary
Someone, somewhere, survives, and the world spins on, just a little different. At first.
or: Spite and adrenaline and the sheer, stubborn will to survive is all that keeps them going, these days. And while they're not afraid of dying, they sure as hell aren't going to lay down and bare their throat to the world. Laz wanders the Grand Line, seeking more and more sights to see and draw, and manages to get into a whole lot of trouble on the way. It's even mostly not their fault.
or even: Life is hard enough without having befriended a stupid, reckless pirate and consequently the parade of weirdos he keeps attracting. (looking at you, Captain 'I'll just stalk this pirate all the way to the new world' Isuka.) Unfortunately, he's one of theirs now, and if anyone tries to take away their loved ones they'll tear them apart from the inside out.
