Denki knew the smell encasing his mind, it was familiar, almost fatherly. His brain knew the soft fabric that accompanied the familiar scent meant him no harm. He couldn’t articulate that into words, far too weak to say all that.
“Smells,” he mumbled while nuzzling the fabric more. Denki could feel the chest he was laid against rumble. He was cutting in and out, but he knew he heard a gruff yet tender voice go,
‘What…smell…like’
Denki mustered up all his strength, gulping down what little saliva his body could produce to quench his dry throat and heavy tongue. In what was probably his weakest voice he ever had, Denki muttered a single word.
“Home”
And just like that, Denki was out cold.

To most, Denki was like the sun. He had a loud and boisterous personality. His jokes and laughter were constant, and he always had a stupidly bright smile on his face. He was just hard to ignore, like an annoying stream of sunlight slipping through your blinds.
Denki would also consider himself a sun, but for a different reason altogether. Denki wasn't oblivious. He knew he was stupid and incapable— his friends wouldn't let him forget it. Every comment they fired at him made him burn hotter, and hotter, and hotter. Denki was just a giant star waiting to burn out into nothing.
The explosion was almost inevitable.

He doesn't even know what he wants anymore.
Luckily, Aizawa is there to step in and help him.
