Summary
Noelle has become strong. Now, a Thorn lodged in her finger, and the hollowed out husk of something that used to be her friend beside her, she stands at the Absolute. With her power, she can see above the clouds, and peer into heaven. Her heart hurts, but that's okay. She misses her friends, but that's okay. Pain isn't a bad thing. Summary
“Hey, Dess?” Noelle asked, transfixed by the television, peering through a window into another life. “Can we go to the city someday?
The city. A place where you are just another face in the crowd. Where nobody knows your name, and nobody has any expectations for you. To Dess, it sounded like heaven. “Hell yeah! I'll take you to a huge city, and you can ride a proper Ferris Wheel!” Dess ruffled Noelle’s hair – blonde, like fine golden thread.
“Really?” Noelle asked, starry-eyed, optimism that made Dess feel like she could climb the heavens themselves.
Noelle smiled, and it was as if all the darkness was blown away. For a moment, the only things in the world were two sisters, and a promise to see the city someday.
After a particularly stressful Christmas eve, Noelle accidentally stumbles into the aftermath of an occult ritual, and ends up five years in the past, on the day December Holiday disappeared forever. What she needs to do is obvious, however time travel is never simple.

Summary
Susie always moved away. No matter what she did. That was always how it ended. It didn't matter if she made friends. It didn't matter if she was actually happy for once in her godforsaken life. It didn't matter if she saved the world. There was only one way things could end.
Part of her thought maybe it was better this way. The entire time, her best friend had been possessed. And she hadn't even noticed. She was good at fighting – that was how she saved the world. But when it came to actually living in it? When it came to doing what people actually needed? She had no idea what the hell she was supposed to do.
So she left. She let herself be taken so far away. Still chained to the whims of fate, even having shattered that stupid Prophecy. Far from Ralsei. Far from Lancer. Far from… Kris.
Even though she moved away, Susie can never forget Kris. No matter the distance that separates them, she longs to be by their side once more.
