Summary
Aerion has always been haunted by grief and regret, and a part of him knows and accepts that he doesn’t deserve to feel neither an ounce of relief nor sense of peace after everything he did.
But his uncle is always there when he’s alone and drowning, even when he doesn’t deserve it, and so Aerion can’t help but feel like Baelor’s concern is also a form of divine punishment and twisted reminder he must bear, as long as he’s living in this heaven and hell, by the gods’ mercy.
