Tommy had been a blood bag for vampires all his life. He was trained. An expert, one could say. He knew to only speak when spoken to, always to do as he was commanded, never to defend himself, never to run, never to show his pain.
He could be perfect. A perfect blood bag.
But when the Angel of Death showed interest in him, he faced challenges he'd never thought he'd encounter.Or: Phil would normally never buy a living blood bag but strange times asked for unusual solutions. And he did intent to set him free as soon as possible and offer him a good life in one of his citys in the Antarctic empire. Why he ended up choosing this scared looking teenager was another question. Maybe following his originally plan would prove to be harder than he thought. Maybe his kids would love to have another brother.
Or: Tommy is terrified, Phil gets attached - as he does. And things get better.
Dark SBI, especially in the beginning - but Phil is a softy for fatherless kids - even if they're TECHNICALLY just a means to survival.

Under the stairs at the moment, though not for long. She's about to receive a letter that will make things a whole lot worse before they get better.
***“I am not in the habit of returning house points once they have been lost, Miss Potter. Among us little people at least, choices have consequences. If that’s all —”
“It’s not that, sir,” she hastened to explain, surprising him once more. Most students were only too eager to latch onto anything that resembled a dismissal from his presence, and no one — ever — interrupted him. “I-I understand. I just… I live with my aunt and uncle, you see. They’re muggles.”
Snape didn’t answer, but the girl plowed doggedly on.
“Well, th-there was an a-accident at the end of the summer, sir. S-some of my potions ingredients spilled in my trunk, and I didn’t know w-what to do... M-my relatives thought I might get help at school?”
She swallowed hard, then reached into her bag and pulled out a horror of a textbook. The entire mold-stained cover slid off as she moved to set it on his desk, and a handful of ragged pages scattered as the book block landed on his desk with a damp thud.

Yes. Wilbur had to bite his tongue to keep the answer from spilling out of his mouth, because yes he wanted more. Of course he wanted more. He wanted to be more than the bastard prince. He wanted to be more than a mistake his mother made before she married Tommy’s father.
But that wasn’t the role he had been cast for in his life.
“It doesn’t matter,” Wilbur said instead. “When Tommy turns eighteen he’ll be crowned King, and I will be his advisor. He’ll be a good king, I’ll make sure of it.”
or, as the bastard prince of the planet of Eldingvegr, Wilbur has always known he was never meant for greatness. That was his younger brother's destiny. Wilbur's job was simply to try and make sure Tommy could fulfill that destiny.
That becomes decidedly more difficult when the brothers are betrayed, and are forced to flee their home planet. With the Essempi Empire being one of the largest imperial powers in the universe, the only place that can offer them refuge from Emperor Dream is Zephys IV—capital planet of the Antarctic Empire, ruled by the ruthless Emperor Philza.
