Summary

Suddenly his phone buzzed-not with a single text alert, but a string of them. He shut his eyes and tried to ignore it, but the sound persisted, irritating in the quiet of their apartment. Assuming it was something in the group chat, he grabbed it, and as soon as he unlocked it, his stomach dropped with horror.
It was his friends, but they were not trying to coordinate plans or offering opinions on a topic. No, they were reacting to the extremely dirty text and video intended for Sersi, which he had somehow accidentally sent to their entire friend group.

Ikaris nearly smiles, a small curve in the moonlight. “Someone has to ensure the Deviants don’t catch us unawares.” But he takes the tangerine, turning it over under his fingers, and Kingo savors the victory with an uncharacteristic lack of crowing.
