"You left me," Mike says, gravely serious but somehow still so young in his demeanour, brow a little heavier than usual, lips still pouty. Will frowns too, rubbing at Mike's arm, feeling the soft hairs underneath his palm and loving him over and over again.
"Uh-huh." Mike doesn't elaborate again. "You're being very vague –"
"For someone else. In my dream," he finally mutters before burying his face back into Will's arm, leaving the rest of his comment muffled, though the brokenness of it can still be made out. "You broke up with me in my dream for… someone else."

Summary
Mike sees this topic of conversation as an opportunity. Now is the time to strike and subtly pry information about Tammy out of Will. What for? Because Mike doesn’t like unanswered questions — there’s nothing more to it. Call it scientific curiosity. He’d persist in exactly the same way no matter the subject of research.
“Is that the only reason you're so happy though?” He inquires in a super casual, borderline disinterested tone. “I mean, being over that crush of yours… That must be a huge weight off your shoulders too, right?”
Will’s smile drops and his brows furrow ever so slightly.
“Um, yeah.” He murmurs, putting the straw back in his mouth and chewing on it, suddenly very interested in the paused TV screen.
A beat passes.
“It’s just,” Mike turns in the seat so that he’s facing Will now. “I guess we never got a chance to properly talk about it. I’m your best friend, and I didn’t even know you were in love with someone.”
In which Mike Wheeler is totally not obsessed with Tammy. Whoever that is. It's definitely not runing his life.

Summary
During the summer of 1990, Will Byers goes missing after getting into a fight with Mike Wheeler.
Mike looks everywhere for his best friend, even going so far as to crash Max Mayfield and Jane Hopper's date, just to get an idea of how to tell Will he is truly sorry, for when he turns up.
But, he has no luck. And instead of doing the sensible thing of calling the police, he has a better idea. A genius idea. He can use Jane's powers to track down Will instantly!
Only, what he finds only fuels his anger. Lucas Sinclair and Will Byers. Kissing.
OR hopelessly in love Mike Wheeler uses Jane's mind powers to find Will, only to see him kissing Lucas :D

“Well, it was nice meeting you two,” David said. He leaned forward towards Will, and gave him a single, light pat on his head.
“And I’ll see you around,” he said softly.
Will blinked up at him in a daze, eyes wide and cheeks gaining a tint of pink again.

“Does it need to be like ceramics last semester? Do I need to drop you off and pick you up at the door again like a fucking preschooler?” Will shakes his head as best as he can, a whimper escaping from his lips. Mike grips his jaw tighter. “Speak.”
“N-no, Mike.” Yes, actually, Will wants to say. He liked it when Mike did that last semester, walking him to and from class like Will’s big, scary guard dog. Sometimes, if Will was lucky, Mike would wait in the hallway during his class, clutching some mass market paperback, spine cracked and curled in on itself. Even big, scary guard dogs have owners, Will would think as Mike stayed put for him.
In which someone asks for Will’s number and it makes Mike murderously angry.
