    Buck frowned. “Um. Yes?”

    The man scoffed. “Yeah, right. You must be dumber than you look. I happen to know Sergeant Grant, and I know that she only has two kids, May and Harry. She certainly doesn’t have some delinquent white boy as a son.”

    Hen had seen many people come and go throughout her years at the 118. The faces that greeted her upon her arrival had been the worst of all of them (excluding Chimney, of course). A team full of straight white men who didn’t see a place for her to fit among them. It’s better now that Bobby is captain. He hasn’t been here long, roughly 14 months or so, but in that time he’s reshaped what it means to be a member of the 118.

    The newest member, Daniel Buckley, was a shroud of mystery. All they knew was what Bobby had told him, that he lived in Pennsylvania and that he has been a firefighter for many years.

    Will he ever open up to his new team? Will they get to meet the reason for him leaving his hometown? Will the Buckley's find the family they've been hoping for their entire lives?
