    The battle of Hogwarts was won. But instead of dying, what was left of Voldemort's soul fled his lifeless body, implying that not all Horcuxes had been found and destroyed. As a result, the Dark Lord's followers have not yielded and the war has raged on for close to two years. The Minstry of Magic and St. Mungo's are still in Death Eater hands, while the Order of the Phoenix uses Hogwarts as a base.
    Busy with research about the elusive last Horcrux, Hermione finds herself equally relieved and annoyed when she is tasked with a seemingly simple errand.
    Well, what can go wrong standing at a crossroads after 02:00, with instructions of bringing Harry's old invisibility cloak, provisions, and a very cryptic message from 'Mad-Eye'?
    Turns out: A lot.

     

    “Do you make a habit of barging into people’s personal spaces, Granger? Or am I just lucky?” Malfoy’s voice was icy and when Hermione turned to face him, he stood in the living-space, his arms crossed, looking every bit as arrogant as she’d ever seen him.
    “Hgnh,” came her dignified reply.
    He raised a brow. “Indeed.”
