He just rolls his eyes at that. It was a two-way street they had tread too many times, not that it made any difference. "I care, so I will worry sometimes, Kacchan." And so will you, he doesn't say. They were the top two heroes in Japan; that also made them the top two targets.
"Whatever," she huffs, grinding her teeth. Whether it's out of frustration or pain from her injuries or both, Deku's not sure. He takes her by the chin and shakes gently, just enough to loosen the hinge of her jaw.
"You're gonna give yourself a headache like that."
"Shaddup, don't tell me what to do." She snaps her teeth at him in warning but Deku manages to snatch his fingers out of reach before she can bite them off.

Summary
Katsuki wasn’t sure what brought it on. It could have been that she didn’t want to be there in the first place — hero networking events were always long, tedious and full of people talking shit. It could have been the buzz — she’d been distracting herself with wine and was already two and a half glasses deep. Or it could have just been that Deku was dressed up nice for once — in a tailored suit that accentuated his broad shoulders and nipped in at the waist, and a tie that matched his eyes.
He’d even managed to tie it properly. It was a fucking miracle.
Whatever the reason, when she glanced at him from across the crowded room as he talked and laughed with a couple of other pros she didn’t recognise, a sudden heat gripped her belly. She bit her lip for a moment as her eyes swept down his body, and found herself marching over before she could stop herself.

“Bakugo,” Aizawa said as she crossed in front of his desk. “No gum.”
Kacchan stopped dead and gave an exaggerated sigh. Izuku almost walked straight into her back. From that close, he could see the baby-fine, almost white hairs at the nape of her neck. Very slowly, he scooted around behind her.
“Ugh, seriously?” Kacchan was saying.
Aizawa didn’t reply, just stared her down and pointed at the trash can by the door.
Kacchan rolled her eyes and scoffed, but marched over to the can and spat her gum straight down into it from her full height. From his desk, Izuku followed its arc with his eyes.
He wondered what flavor it was. Some kind of mint, probably — he couldn’t imagine Kacchan picking anything fruity. He’d been very close to her earlier, just inches away, but her back had been turned so he couldn’t smell the gum on her.
Did her breath smell of mint right now?
Did her mouth taste of mint?
Izuku bit down on the inside of his lip.
