@nububuz: YOU DON’T FUCKING GET IT THIS IS MY ROYAL WEDDING
@StarlitJaem: are they really purposefully hard launching their relationship (marriage?!?!) on the most romantic day of the year or have we all collectively lost the plot… I FEEL SO CRAZY RN
@thestrongestduo: alright i’m trying SO HARD not to be delusional right now but these are actual, luxury, RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE wedding rings we’re talking about, i just looked them up on the site. someone pls sedate me i’m genuinely going insane as we speak
@MIDNIGHTMARK: real tears streaming down my face…… my strongest duo please always be happy
(or: A pair of matching rings breeds the rumor of Mark and Donghyuck’s alleged secret marriage. For Donghyuck, it’s the most hilarious thing ever. Mark, however, is far from being amused.)

Summary
Here is the catch–Mark is not packing his own luggage this time; he's packing Donghyuck's. Also not that unheard of, but today it's not because they're going on a yet another world tour, or anything else idol-life adjacent. Far, far from it.
Mark is packing Donghyuck's suitcase because Donghyuck is enlisting. Tomorrow. And Mark is not. Meaning that, starting in less than twenty-four hours, they are going to be apart, truly apart from each other for the first time in sixteen years. For the next twenty months.
(or: Donghyuck's biggest fear is steadily starting to come true. Not a big deal at all, except it kind of feels like the world is about to end. For all he cares, it really might.)

Summary
The three main general truths of Jaemin's life go as follows:
Fact number one – Jaemin absolutely hates the beach
Fact number two – Donghyuck absolutely loves the beach
Fact number three – Jaemin has never been the best at saying no to Donghyuck(or: Donghyuck always gets everything he wants, and Jaemin is just stupidly in love. And, oh, they’re at the beach, too!)

Summary
"Hi, Hyuck. How was work?” Mark asks in a perfectly casual tone, purposefully keeping his voice from getting too loud.
“Good,” Donghyuck blinks repeatedly, staring at him as if he'd just grown a second head. “Mark. There's a newborn child lying on our living room floor.”
(or: Doghyuck celebrates New Year's Eve babysitting his boyfriend's niece. Quite surprisingly, he finds out that he wouldn’t have it any other way.)

Summary
Surely, there must be some sort of scientific explanation as to why Donghyuck found himself falling into Jaemin's bed with so much ease, but somehow he is still struggling to locate a way out. There simply must be. He just hasn't discovered one yet.
(or: As it turns out, jumping head first into a friends-with-benefits arrangement with one of his closest friends almost immediately after a traumatic break up without properly talking about it might not be the most ingenious solution Donghyuck ever had. Who would have thought.)

Summary
"Mark only touched him in San Francisco now, when he felt like it. When he was bored of other people or when he wanted someone who knew how to kiss him the way he liked and make him laugh when the sex was over and they rolled over and went back to being best friends. Sometimes, Mark had someone else, but Donghyuck came anyway because he liked it too much when Mark asked for him."
Mark and Donghyuck figure out their messy, sometimes totally fucked situationship over eighteen months in San Francisco. Mark thinks about the straight and narrow but can't remember how to stay on the supposedly righteous path. Donghyuck tries to live in a new city and remember all the reasons that he shouldn't give his heart to Mark, looking to new friends for lessons in how to grow up and move on.

Summary
“There’s a situation,” Mark tells Jaemin over the phone.
“Did you fall down the stairs again?” Jaemin asks.
“No,” Mark says, and glances over at Donghyuck. “It’s—well, there’s a zombie, for one—”
“A what—”
“And, uh, in my previous life, we dated,” Mark continues. “Apparently.”
There’s silence on the other end of the phone.
“For the record,” Donghyuck points out, “I’m not a zombie.”(or: donghyuck hops out casket-fresh, and mark starts to believe, just a little, in soulmates.)
