The world's really out to get him, Danny decided. Steve finally returns to Hawaii after 3 months, but an epic car chase, a broken cell phone, and a lot of bad luck prevent Danny from catching up with him. Meanwhile, Steve just wants to talk to Danny and set things right so he can finally go to bed.

Or: Kamekona starts a social justice movement and/or meme, the answer to the question lies a lot closer to home than Steve and Danny think, and it's all kind of romantic, maybe, if you squint.

Once the report is ready, Steve gets up and makes his way to Danny’s office. He slows down his pace when he catches Danny’s slumped form through the blinds. He sucks in a breath because it’s all kinds of wrong for his partner to be so still. Danny is a constant motion and loud mouthed attitude not the exhausted line of his shoulders and resigned arch of his back.
