Stanley's sins may outweigh theirs, but who was Gen to deny him? Could Gen really say that he would not do anything in his power to see Senkuu's goals realized?
Now, at what could very well be the end of humanity, could Gen shed his pragmatic persona? And in leaving his weak-willed self on full display before friend and enemy alike, could Gen overcome it?
Could that kind of weakness ever really be dispelled?
