Summary
Despite his compassionate, kind nature and the nobility of his heart, darkness is a part of Robin Hood which he usually keeps on a tight leash, and he loathes to reveal even a shred of it to others. Memories of holy war and a tangle of darkness and pain constitute his inner hidden realm, but there are beams of light in Robin’s dark world.
A canon extension from 2x06 which is written from Robin and Marian’s POVs.
This story is a New Year gift for all fans of the Robin Hood legend and the show

Summary

Summary
This is an AU set after the S3 Finale. Robin Hood isn’t killed by Isabella’s poisoned dagger. Unbeknownst to Robin, Marian survives her seemingly mortal wound in the Holy Land and returns to Nottingham in a few days after the bloody siege. Robin and Marian are reunited on Earth, not in Heaven. Robin and Marian are deeply in love, romantic, happy, mischievous, and very amorous.
This story was written to celebrate the 26th of April 1192 – the anniversary of the rescue of the four men from hanging by Robin of Locksley.
Author's note. This is an AU for Robin and Marian fans and for Robin/Marian shippers, as well as for multishippers who ship them from time to time. It is a “healing” story for those who were heartbroken over the death of Robin in the S3 Finale and Marian’s death in the S2 Finale.
The story is rated M because of the explicit sexual content.
