I don’t know what’s caused it—maybe you’re a little too in character or we spend too much time together and you’ve gotten used to the way I smell. He could maybe say that, but Off would be embarrassed, might get defensive. People don’t like it when their feelings are exposed. It wouldn’t put Off in the right headspace.
