But it’s only an old wives tale. Historians say that it was made up in order to justify a vicious cycle of trials against women that they claimed were witches who worshipped the devil himself. A grab for wealth and power by fanatics.

Summary
After Will uses his powers for the first time in the Mac-Z, the entire party knew the game had permanently changed. But what they didn’t know was the consequences this drew. A new psychic link had opened like a door, and now Will and the party must fight against time to stop Vecna in the very place this all started: the Upside Down. Except Mike is the only one who seems to notice. I guess there’s a first for everything.
PLEASE NOTE: This fic is the first ever thing I've written, so please go easy on me! The setting picks up where episode 4 - The Sorcerer leaves off, but I'd recommend watching the entire season before reading because I refer to some scenes that occur in the show. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I do :)
