During the 2v1000, Wemmbu dies.
It's all very tragic and sad, but not for Flame, because they're not friends. They're not, never will be. And he'd be perfectly fine wilfully ignoring the cloying, tight sensation in his chest if not for the fact that immediately after, he wakes up back in his bed on the morning before the battle.
Or, a time-loop, of sorts. Let's all make some noise for Flame's mental health

“You got your sword?” Lomedy asks.
Flame lifts Fragger up for Lomedy to see. Its edge is sharp, serrated; long as the length of his arm and so darkly red that it’s almost black. It’s a fighter’s weapon. “I thought I wasn’t allowed to kill.”
“You’re not.” Lomedy hums. He looks Fragger over once, then nods. “Yeah, I think that’ll be good for splitting the bamboo.”

“Mapicc, Mapicc, May-may-may-picc!”
“Whaaaaaaat?” murmurs a slump of black-and-red hoodie in the corner, which would resolve, eventually, if pestered enough, into his good friend–maybe even best friend–Mapicc.
“I’m bored,” Spoke sighs.

“That’s the wrong book,” Eggchan hisses, directly in his face.
“You’re the wrong book!” Wemmbu says back, at a normal volume, in a nonchalant way, quickly raising his most nonchalant mace.

Summary
Before the argument could reignite, the doors behind them suddenly swung open with a dramatic whoooosh. Particles exploded outward in a shower of Spoke’s signature rainbow headband colours, and all three of them jumped back, weapons halfway drawn.
Spoke stood in the doorway, backlit by the warm glow of light from inside. His grin was wide and genuine, and his eyes had that faint shimmer that happened when he was particularly excited. For a moment, his outline seemed to flicker, like he was barely maintaining his physical form.
"You came!" he exclaimed, throwing his arms wide. "I was starting to think you guys were gonna stand me up!"
The three visitors exchanged glances. Parrot's hand stayed on his sword hilt.
"Spoke," he said carefully, "why exactly did you invite us here?"
"For a sleepover!" Spoke's grin didn't falter. "Come on, don't just stand there! It's cold out and I made snacks!"
Spoke somehow managed to appear behind them, already herding them toward the door. "In, in, in! I spent all day setting this up!"
"That's what I'm worried about," Wemmbu muttered, but he allowed himself to be shepherded forward.

Summary
It’s funny, in a fucked up way.
For as much as he hated Sharp now for breaking his trust, for destroying everything they’d built together with the press of a singular button, Jude still found himself thinking of him. He thinks he spends more time thinking about Sharp now than he did before the fact, and it makes a bitter feeling well up in his chest. There was so much Sharp had left behind when he’d betrayed Jude, and it was Jude who had to deal with the fallout now that he was gone.
Jude navigates his life on Strength post-betrayal, while wondering if Sharp's betrayal ever really changed anything between the two of them.
