Instead of pirates roaming the seas, armies and caravans roam the land. A few are blessed by the gods with superhuman abilities, and the strongest compete for prestige, territory, and authority.
Trafalgar Law's home town of Flevance has been taken by the infamous Strawhat crew, and now he himself is being taken to the capital of the nascent Sun Empire's territory; whether as a prize, prisoner, or other mockery of his mother's religion he doesn't know, but surrender is the only way to spare the townspeople from the marauder's whims. Law can only hope he'll make it out alive.
In progress, no updates scheduled. (Forget dying unbeta'd, this is unalpha'd and unborn; not even i have read it.)

Sanji tilts his head back so that it rests against the dirty wall behind him. He’s still upright, somehow, through sheer stubbornness or spite. He doesn’t look like someone who only has tonight left to live.
In fact, he looks sharp. There’s no better word for it. His expression is still as peaceable as it has been since he arrived, but watching him is like watching a knife slide out of its sheath. He is, abruptly, dangerous. A tool made for cutting.
“If you knew where I’ve been, you would be terrified of me,” he says.

Roger's successor, having claimed the One Piece, been officially declared the Pirate King and issued one of the highest bounties in the known world, but the World Government's identified him as a Yonko, and many believe that he just MIGHT be more than human. Their first mate's not just a master swordsman but, having defeated the legendary Dracule "Hawk Eyes" Mihawk, is now considered the World's Greatest Swordsman, and the other members of their crew are no less exceptional, each having made lasting impressions and significant advancements in their own areas of expertise.
They're an impressive bunch of pirates, to be sure- but lately they've been gaining popularity for a different reason entirely, and when Heart Pirate captain and long-time ally Trafalgar D. Water Law finds himself called in to assist with a special project, he's not only given a firsthand look at what Monkey D. Luffy's crew has been up to... but he also gets a hell of a lot more than he bargained for in the process...
