"One of us would die for love, One of us would give it up One of us would risk it all, One of us won’t even call, One of us could say goodbye, never even bat an eye, One of us is hurting you and baby that’s the last thing that I wanna do" by iely

Summary
Keith took a deep breath before speaking up again, “Didn’t I fucking tell you to disappear?”
At that Lance’s heart – the one that he only just seemed to have glued back – shattered.
“I-I just-”
“No! LEAVE! You are NOT him! He was there for me! And you…” he exhaled, “Honestly, who do you think you are? Did you think I’ll just wait for you forever? That I’ll sit patiently and wait for you to finally pull out the stick you have up your ass, and…”
Lance didn’t know what to say, and so he didn’t. Keith on the other hand went on.
“All I want from you, is to disappear! You are not Shiro. You will never be half the man he ever was.”
The boy pushed himself up and out of Lance’s arms. And Lance let him go.

Alternatively : Lance and Keith are childhood friends but they got separated for 5 years. A misunderstanding makes it so their next encounter isn't sweet. It isn't even bittersweet. It's just bitter. So, so bitter. Keith is angry,. And Lance is confused and hurt, which leads him to make some... questionable decisions. Get ready for Angst. There are some referenced deaths and bullying. It's not explicit, but if you're not comfortable with it be careful.

Summary
Lance couldn’t help the bewildered look on his face, still she went on “your ego took a hit this morning so you decided to just go somewhere to brood” and that got Lance to shut up. His ego? That wasn’t the issue, but how, just how was he supposed to say that to his friends? You didn’t hurt my ego, you hurt my feelings? Fuck no. I’m never saying that. But I have to say something, anything, just -
A story of missed opportunities and regrets, yet still, somehow everything ends up okay.
Aternatively: Lance feels like the 7th wheel and misses Keith, the team doesn't help in the slightest. Lance doesn't want to appear weak so he doesn't say anything, and lets his friends talk down on him. His friends' words hurt his mind and soul, that is until they actually lead to something much worse.
But maybe one person can change everything. Wonder who that one might be?

Summary
“Okay, let’s think about this rationally,” he sighs after a moment. Lance hates having to be the rational one. “Before we go killing innocent creatures that totally don’t deserve it, maybe we should ask ourselves where it came from. How did a spider get onto the ship? What kind of spider is it? What does it need to eat and live contently?”
“A spider breaks into our home, and you want to just give it room and board?” Pidge demands.
-
Or, a spider gets onto the castleship, and Lance takes it upon himself to protect it from Pidge's wrath. Also, where's Keith?

Summary
“But I want a mate.”
“Well, you haven’t exactly done a whole lot of looking!” Rachel snarls, reaching forward and shoving him bodily into the sand. He fumbles uselessly, not nearly as graceful and tactile in this form. It’s worse when she leans over him, eyes wide and frenzied as she glares down at him, trembling with poorly-concealed hurt and anger. “Lower your expectations, you idiot! If you want a mate, you have to be willing to find one, to let one find you. After all, they aren’t gonna swoop down from the sky and sweep you off your feet like your firewing boyfriend did.”
“Leave Keith out of this!”

Summary
"Come on, Keith," Lance smiles, spreading his hands out. He skates backwards, widening the distance between them. Keith has to stop himself from following. Lance does a little loop, a rudimentary imitation of the move, before stopping back in front of him. He's closer now, and Keith notices a light flush on his cheeks. "Teach me how to fly."
Shiro, head coach of the Galaxy Garrison University's own hockey team, has given Keith the task of giving one of his players, Lance, figure skating lessons. Which is a super great idea and nothing crazy will happen. Right?

Summary
"Lance had degrees in both Secondary Education and Dating Keith Kogane and spent most of his time being an angel and teaching at the local middle school. So he was probably a credible source.

So he’s not going to say anything mean to the girl across the counter."A continuation of Dear Reader, where we see seven different moments of Keith and Lance growing together

Summary
"I find myself wondering, sweet reader, when exactly someone will take a shovel to the back of this racist statue's metal head and begin dismantling our university’s scandalous love affair with the most problematic donors they could possibly find. I’m looking at you, President Zarkon, kindly remove your hand from the Republican Party’s dick. This is a liberal arts college for God’s sake."
When Galra University's Tumblr page, meant for football game updates and pleads for attendees for club meetings, is plagued by a mysterious writer determined to eviscerate every toxic part of the college, Lance is intrigued. When he becomes a leading character in the anonymous letters, well, he gets a little more curious. Lance becomes determined to unveil the writer and find out a) what is his problem exactly and b) does he really think Lance's eyes are that blue?
A tale in which Lance is oblivious and pining for the hot nerd in the back of his Greek mythology class, Keith can wield a pen with deadly cruelty, and you, dear readers, suffer from the pains of dramatic irony.
