Summary
“If you ask me, Captain Abbot... you're wasted as a medic.” The General's eyes glinted with something. Greed, a dark knowledge.
That should have been his first warning.
After a decade of distinguished military service, Jack was nominated for the top-secret JAWS program. It had its teeth in him before he knew what it was. And then it tore him to shreds.
Jack takes up a civilian job at the Pitt ED while trying to piece his mind and body back together. With the help of Dr Robinavitch, he thinks he might just like who he becomes.
OR: A kind of Winter Soldier, Jason Bourne, US military experiments AU.

Summary
When Robby starts his rotation at the ED he thinks he knows what to expect. At M.S. 4, the last rotation he needs is emergency medicine, but having done his last one in the ICU he figures he’s bringing in good experience. Some would call that cocky. Bratty, even. Robby argues that it’s not cockiness he’s packing, but intelligence. Core knowledge on the internal workings of medicine. His evaluations clearly reflect that, so if he has a bit of an ego he argues it’s well deserved.
Robby brings this attitude with him on his first day at PTMC. He’s in nice scrubs, comfy shoes he’s broken in, and has his notepad ready for any questions. He holds himself with an air of confidence because he knows he’s able to handle this.
That quickly proves to be wishful thinking.
The senior attending, Dr. Dennis Whitaker, is an interesting man to say the least.

Summary
“Turn around, bend over the table,” Jack instructs him on impulse, voice pulled taut.
Robby blinks down at him, those big dark eyes focusing all their attention on Jack, and asks, stupid, “What?”
“Bend over the table,” Jack repeats his order, “so I can fuck you and knock you up.” Robby only stares at him for a moment longer, clearly debating whether or not to obey, focused eyes blown huge and black, and so Jack adds, “Now, please, Doctor.”
There’s a beat.
Then, pushing past him with a close brush of their half-unclothed bodies, Robby does exactly as he’s been instructed, elbows on the empty staff lounge table.

Summary
Robby’s brilliant and beautiful brain had always been a wonder for Jack to pick apart. Over the years, Jack had figured out how to react to various mental shutdowns and considered himself an expert in it.
However, physical trauma turned out to be uncharted territory. Apparently, when Robby got bonked on the head, his brain simply decided to go Husband? What husband?
Jack found it distressingly comical. Until he learned why.
*The stories make sense wherever you start in the series. But I highly recommend reading them in order for the best continuity ;)
