To raise money for the local hospital, they're putting on a reprise of the very same show they starred in twenty years ago. What better way is there to spend your high school reunion? Ted Spankoffski can only think of a couple thousand things he'd rather be doing tonight, but he's here anyway. Reluctantly. Becky Barnes is running the show with an iron fist, Linda Monroe is desperate to finally prove she's the best, and Tom Houston just wants to see Becky happy. Duke Keane shouldn't even technically be here, but he is, and he's surprisingly pretty happy about it.
And Ted's little brother, Pete? He just wants to watch the show with his girlfriend and his friends, goddammit.

Knuckles wanted to protect Sonic.
And of course he did. Sonic’s eyes resembled the Master Emerald in all of its glory— of course they evoked that same feeling of duty in him.
As the time passes, Knuckles wants to do more than just protect Sonic. He wants to know Sonic for everything he is: the ugly and beautiful alike. He’d find beauty in his faults, too.
After all, what’s more ugly than falling in love with your best friend? He could never be as faulted as Knuckles was. Sonic was normal, and Knuckles could only wish to be on the very same nights he spent dreaming of the hedgehog.
Sonic says he has no home— no place where he feels as if he truly belongs— Knuckles wishes to create that place for him.
