Summary
A single young omega on horseback comes riding across the vast expanse of the steppe, searching for Rudhek’s pack, wrapped in the furs of a mountain-dweller, a single long braid like a fish's tail down the upright length of his proud spine.
He is reckless, foolhardy, brave, splendid. He is, Rudhek realises, familiar. It is not imagination, or stupid hope; Rudhek is right, his eyes saw clear. He’s -
"Mihal!"
Two years after alpha warlord Rudhek helps a captive gift from an enemy people flee slavery, the young man comes riding to find him again, in heat, desperate for the only alpha he knows can be trusted not to keep him.

Summary
Dichot performs an act of magic to save some fellow serfs, instinctively, without knowing how. Terrified that he's a changeling, but reluctant to kill him as they know they should, the others tie him up and leave him for the wizard. It's not an act of mercy, not really. They all know what happens to the children given to the wizard — what happens to them in the end, anyway.
But the wizard isn't there anymore.
Three years ago, he was killed by two of his captives.
There's still a very powerful mage in the tower. It's just that she's not at all what Dichot expects.

Summary
A whirl of black smoke, a plume of blue flame, the acrid, pungent smell of sulphur. Every candle in the room flickered and sputtered out. There was a thick and terrible darkness suddenly present in the gloom, roiling and twisting upon itself; and from deep within it, came an awful, unrelenting, inescapable sensation of being watched.
The great demon Birhartura glowered out from the darkness at the pit of its summoning circle, bewildered, peevish, and still half-asleep.
What in all the hells did they want this time?
It had not been summoned for a very, very long time.
The demon Birhartura is summoned by some idiot mortal wizard. This would usually be very inconvenient - but this time, the terrified, broken-legged little peasant girl they have left as a sacrifice for it is also, somehow, one of the most powerful mages it has ever been in the presence of.
If only it could get her to believe that, and free them both.

Summary
He knew better than to break so quickly. They'd only redouble the cruelty to eke a reaction from him. But the thought of being given to an Ittir made him feel like a little child again: taken captive, torn away sobbing from the remnants of his pack. It was not only the shock and fear and vulnerability that he remembered, but his captors' hatred for him, too, for all his people, the accusations they had made against them. Bandits, oathbreakers, murderers.
Maybe they had been bandits, murderers. He had been too young then to know. The world had certainly punished him well for it, if they were.
He was not sweet and virginal and perfect, like a gift should be. He was to be given to this alpha already ruined, everything a desirable omega was not, and an enemy of his tribe. The man would know the insult that Mihal represented. He wouldn't stand for it: no alpha would.
Mihal would be dead by sunrise.
Mihal, an enslaved omega captive, knows he won't survive the night. But this alpha is strange, his behaviour far from the cruelty that Mihal expects.
Mihal's perspective on Conquest .

Summary
He couldn’t speak — hadn’t, anyway, in… months, years, he wasn’t sure. He knew how to make the words, what they meant, but instinct entirely overruled him every time he tried to reach for them. Other people close enough to talk to meant danger, a kind of danger his body, high-strung and restless from living on the road, couldn’t bear. He had been alone too long to suppress the urge, to try and sneak or hide or pass himself off as somebody’s pup. Unbidden, he heard himself growling all the time now: the low, discontent rumble of hunger or discomfort, the hackles-raised rising warning of leave me alone, fuck off, and the all-out teeth-bared snarl of don’t touch me, get off, let me go!
Felix is a feral pup, used to living wild. But when he's caught stealing and given away to a strange pack, he has to try and learn to accept comfort, to trust that not all alphas are a threat.
