Summary
Alastor had been trying his damndest to clean the article of clothing for the better half of two hours now, but the water had long turned red, the fabric still stained and his fingers were starting to cramp. He glared at it with agitation, and tossed the material back into the bucket as he sat down harshly on his ass.
“Still stained?”
Alastor growled her way, eyes not leaving the blasted uniform. “Yes.”
She hums once. “Did you use the bleach I gave you?”
“Yes.”
“And the vinegar?”
Alastor narrowed his eyes at that, glancing at the bottle of unopened vinegar next to him, right beside the upturned, empty bottle of bleach. His ears pressed flat to his head, and he carefully reached over to pluck the offending white bottle to hide it between his legs. “Yes.”

“Have you heard anything?” it was so softly spoken, Alastor would’ve missed it if he hadn’t turned back around in time to face her. He straightens up, his back twinging a little in pain with how fast he had done so, and he lets himself lean a little on the table for support. He goes for a nonchalant route, but it fails halfway when Rosie gives him a look of weary disdain. He sighs then, hanging his head low and dropping the act; when it comes to Rosie, she's the only one nowadays that he remotely trusts enough to be genuine around. To be real.
“Not a one,” he says after a moment, and her ragged sigh echoes in his chest all the same.

Summary
Lucifer didn't have a silver tongue before The Fall. If he had, things might have gone differently at the trial. That was one of the final parting gifts bestowed upon him by his siblings before they cast him out. There's a sort of twisted irony to it all. The snake, who gave up everything so human souls could choose their own destiny, always one over enunciated word from stripping it from them all over again.
All that to say, as a general rule, Lucifer doesn't influence Sinners. Not because he can't—far from it—but it goes against the spirit of the whole "Gift of Free Will" thing.
Of course, Alastor is the one to challenge that.
