Jules took that train and never looked back, or that is what she tells everyone, what she tells herself. Years after graduation, she is a model, actor, and costume designer; her manager/boyfriend keeps her life running, and everything is - or should be - good. The last thing Jules ever expected was to find Rue homeless on the streets of New York. Having a glimpse of the past she thought she had left behind changes everything because she may have failed that girl once, but she won't ever do it again.

Summary
She swallows hard, not even realizing where she is until Maddy’s surprised yelp sounds way closer than it should.
“Rue, what the hell are you doing? Why are you outside my window at—” She looks at the clock on her vanity— “2:30 AM?”
Maddy has a polka-dot robe on now, clutching the two sides closed to keep out the chilly night air.
Rue has stepped onto Maddy’s lawn. In front of Maddy’s window. Where Maddy can definitely see her.
Stupid.
“Uh—” she starts, scrambling, “Fuck, I didn't—I mean, it wasn't—”
Rue’s hands move in useless little gestures, like that might somehow explain things. Maddy just watches her, arms crossed, her mouth shaped suspiciously like a smile. She cuts Rue off before she can dig herself any deeper.
“Rue.”
“Yeah?”
“Do you need a place to crash tonight?”
When Rue accidentally ends up at Maddy’s house, comfort shows up wearing someone else’s perfume, and Rue pretends that doesn’t mean anything.

After being spotted on top of a building in New York City, Haze is sent out to eliminate him and bring his head back to her superiors, but when the plan goes awry and Haze is mortally wounded, Seven makes the decision to save her life.

It could be useful to get closer to her. If she was going to utilize tactics to avoid Haze getting into her mind, then maybe by inching closer, she’d manipulate her to let her guard down.
Haze reached forward, roughly tugging Wraith by the suit chain clipped to her collar. “Fine.”
“Woah— Hey, hey. Don’t break it...!”
“I said fine, Wraith. Give me the stupid card.”
