    Summary

And in that moment, Finnick Odair realized what Riven Therrow was to him, what he'd always been.

Riven was his marmoris. The shining surface of the ocean, radiant and untouchable. He was sunlight caught on the tide. Finnick had spent his whole life swimming toward that light, chasing the shimmer of it through every wave, and he would drown there willingly, if it meant he could keep looking at him. Riven was everything beautiful and terrible about the sea, and Finnick was already too far gone beneath the surface.

In which Riven Therrow reunites with his love and childhood best friend, Finnick Odair, during the Quarter Quell.

    Summary

Oscar has two major skills: advanced magic theory and catastrophic life choices. Maybe a minor in anxiety-fuelled internal dialogue. To keep his family afloat, and finally use his magic degree for *something*, he signs up with El Plaan: an adventurer's guild in a neighbouring city.

He’s picturing low-risk jobs, maybe the occasional polite fireball. Instead, the guild teams him up Max: lethal, terrifyingly competent, weaponised broodiness, and inexplicably invested in keeping one frazzled mage alive.

or: the one where Oscar thought he was just doing jobs for the money but ends up finding something more instead. Oh and tries not to die in the process.

    Summary

It’s not a curse, not really. Not at first. Just… a consequence. Of winning. Of pushing too hard. Of carving your name so deep into history that something must be carved out of you in return.

Every World Champion gets one. No two are the same. No one talks about it publicly, but everyone knows.

It’s whispered in paddock bars and engineer break rooms. It’s passed from rookies to veterans with the same weight as wet-weather warnings and Monaco brake points.

They call it the Champion’s Mark.

    Summary

James and Sirius have always been close—closer than most, closer than what makes sense. It’s in the way they move, in the glances they exchange, in the spaces between them that never seem to last long. It’s in the way James flinches when Lily asks the question he should be able to answer without hesitation.

Or: In which Lily begins to wonder if love is meant to be a choice or if, sometimes, it’s written into the bones of two people long before they ever understand it themselves. Because James and Sirius have always been close—closer than they should be, closer than either of them can admit.
