Dragons were powerful. Fierce. Their fire could burn the thousands. Aerion was one of them, he was always sure of it. He could feel the fire flowing through his veins, he could burn people just with his words. That was why he was feared, even his own brother feared him because he was a monster.
That was all he wanted. If he became a monster, others wouldn’t have dared to hurt him. He was hurting alone, anyway, he didn’t need anyone else. He was destined to burn alone.

Otherwise, Arthur wouldn’t have felt so belonged. Emrys sat on the bed; his back was full of tattoos. If Arthur was braver, he would’ve touched them. would’ve asked their meanings. Instead, he only looked at them. Touching beside sex would be awkward, their agreement was only sex. Nothing more. "

First days were supposed to be nerving, it was an unwritten rule of universe. First day of the school, first day of the job… First day of the hospital after leaving rehab. That’s why Frank Langdon was nervous, his hands were itching, his heart was clenching tightly. He hated the sight of him in the car mirror, Frank grimaced. His cheeks looked hollow, his eyes were so red which was because he didn’t sleep enough. He also lost weight, at least he didn’t have a tummy anymore. His hair looked messy though, he didn’t have energy to straighten it as he used to. He was such a mess, Frank laughed without mirth.
“Let’s go,” He murmured. “I can’t escape anymore.”

Summary
Arthur always knew that it would be over.
The funny feelings. Stolen kisses in the throne room. Hungry looks at each other. He knew that they were too good to last, good things wouldn’t happen to him. But he was lost in an illusion where he felt loved. He didn’t want to leave that illusion; he only wanted to feel the kisses, the caring touches for a bit longer.
That was what he thought when he caught Merlin using magic. No, no. That would be a lie. The first thing he thought was that Merlin was so beautiful with these golden eyes. How beautiful and cruel.
“I would never hurt you. I never hurt you.”
His voice was shaky, full of emotions. Was there love in that voice, Arthur thought, or was that another lie?

Summary
“I see you there, you know,” the alpha calls out to Aerion. “Are you the stable boy?”
Aerion’s eye twitches at the mere thought of him being a stable boy. This man, honestly, what a brute to assume such a thing.
He wants nothing more than to bite the alpha’s head off, but instead, he just settles for biting his lip to keep his anger at bay. He cannot draw attention to himself.
“No,” Aerion snaps at the brute, readjusting the hood of his cloak to make sure it stays on and conceals his hair. “Leave.”
He cannot let anyone see it, lest he wants to be returned to his father.
“Nothing to be ashamed of if you are,” the alpha tries to placate him. “It’s a decent job to have.”
Then, to Aerion’s horror and annoyance, the alpha tosses him a coin, one that proceeds to land by Aerion’s feet.
aerion runs away to escape an arranged marriage and ends up meeting a brute of an alpha at a stable, out of all places.
