If bitten by a vampire and not killed, the victim will temporarily turn into a vampire, which is either made permanent by drinking the blood of the vampire who bit them or reversed by morning if the victim does not. While temporary vampires cannot turn humans, they do still crave human blood.

There was something about the rearrangement that made her feel like a misbehaving dog. A thing Mara wasn’t supposed to touch had been moved safely out of reach. And the creature hadn’t bothered to hide it from sight, because there was no possible way she could get to it. Treats on a high shelf.
Climbing out was no longer an option.

You left your home to traverse the wonders of your world, when a prophecy spread, predicting the doom that will fall upon your world. You didn't believe in it until the day arrived and chaos fell upon your very eyes. You'd hurried home in hopes of seeing your family again just to be met with the ruins of your home town. Since then you've set yourself a goal of reviving the town and growing stronger to fend off the evil that has spread through the land.

Felix, a single father of two, has grown tired of waiting for the police to find his children. So he makes his way through the now abandoned Banban's Kindergarten, solving puzzles and trying not to die from the horrors that lurk with in the facility with the help of an old employee who talks to him through the cameras.
But is this so called employee who he claimed to be?
