Summary
Five years after losing her wife, Carol Sturka has built a quiet life by the coast: hands busy, heart carefully guarded, love poured into animals and things she can fix.
Zosia Kosłowska arrives in town running from expectations, from a future already decided for her, and from a desire she has never allowed herself to name. This is a slow story about grief, restraint, late blooming, and the kind of wanting that learns to speak through hands, silence, and time.

Summary
“Do you really mean it when you say things like that to me? Now, and all of the other times?”
Zoey’s breath hitched—more evidence added to the pile.
Another step, another breath.
Closer.
“Do you have… any idea what it’s doing to me?”

Summary
Rumi leans forward on the couch, her hair falling into her face. “Two weeks,” she murmurs, though she doesn’t sound convinced. “That’s what they’re saying.”
Mira, beside her, doesn’t flinch. Arms folded, her expression calm but sharp, she answers without looking away from the TV. “They’re never honest about the first number. It’ll be longer.”Rumi knows she’s right, but another thought presses louder in her head: Zoey.
Zoey, alone across the city in her too-small apartment, her family stuck thousands of miles away in America. Zoey, with her restless energy and big heart, the one who fills every silence with laughter or questions or that wide, blinding smile. Zoey, who Rumi loves just as surely as the woman sitting at her side.Rumi glances toward Mira, choosing her words carefully. She touches Mira’s thigh, soft and grounding. “Babe… what if Zoey stayed here?”

Summary
It started with a stretch.
After a brutal rehearsal, all Zoey wanted was to collapse dramatically. Mira had other ideas. Rumi tried to stay in control — she really did.
What followed was less about choreography and more about giving in, holding on, and learning that sometimes the safest place to fall… is into each other.
(Also, yes — there are orgasms. Multiple. Oops.)
