Of course it was Midoriya Izuku. If there had to be at least one sleepwalker in class 1-A, it just had to be Aizawa Shota’s honorary Problem Child. With a heavy sigh that turned into a tear inducing and jaw cracking yawn, Shota moved to his back and held the tablet over his face. Curiously, he watched Midoriya lazily rifling through the drawers, leaving them open as he went, until he stopped at the fifth one and stared inside. Shota wonders for a moment if the boy had woken himself up - suddenly stiff and doe eyed - until he watches him very slowly, with a shaky hand pick up a long knife glinting in the fluorescent light.

“Not today,” Shinsou choked out over the phone.
Izuku seemed puzzled but continued, “I mean, I just want to talk about it!”
“Not today, Izuku. Mentally, not a good day, but we can talk about it another day.” If Shinsou didn’t move this off, he would say something he would regret, and Izuku didn’t deserve that. He deserved to be happy in his first relationship and to enjoy the exploration of that without worrying about his depressed, anxious shut-in of a best friend.
Shinsou’s gut sank as Izuku replied–his voice had already lost some of its carefree joy. “Okay, Shinsou. That’s fine.”
The bitter voice in Shinsou’s head was glad that Izuku thought about him, but then he realized what his friendship was morphing into. A burden. A chore. How had it only been four weeks since the change began?
