Vox deserves to be dead. And he would’ve been, if Alastor hadn’t saved him at the last minute.
Vox is alive, thanks to him. He’s both surprised and confused when he wakes up in Alastor’s bed, rough bandages wrapped around his wounds. When Alastor returns, he realizes slowly what has happened. Alastor, his heartless enemy, had saved him. Why?
Vox couldn’t face the other Vees after what he did. So now, he might as well stay at the hotel a little longer.

Following the finale, the hotel and the Vees decide to forbid the now-free Alastor and the now-subdued Vox from seeing each other after the stunt they’ve pulled, afraid they’d cause more trouble for hell.
But obsessive hatred runs quite deep, and if the two can’t find a way to ruin each other’s lives in hell, they’d risk everything to find another way in another place.
Somewhere out there exists a universe in which Alastor and Vox are as close in every sense as possible. Geographically, temporally, emotionally. An alternative version of Al and Vincent on Earth in the modern times. One day, they begin to get spontaneously possessed by their demon counterparts, whose plan consists of tormenting each other in their bodies.
Their possessions won’t always be timely consistent, leading to a few teeny-tiny... mishaps.

Summary
After Alastor laughs him out of a partnership and leaves him bleeding pride in a dive bar, Charlie Morningstar notices a lonely stranger and offers aid. Vox sees the princess of Hell and quickly starts plotting on how to play this in his favor.
When Vox offers to help promote her hotel, he gets too caught up in the charade. Driven to be the Happy Hotel’s first guest, Vox finds himself ensnared in the very narrative he thought he could take advantage of.
