The car had spun out of control, with metal screeching and flames bursting from the engine as the world flipped upside down. His chest tightened, his lungs burning as smoke rushed in. The fire roared louder than his heartbeat, and pain spread through his body until everything turned black. He didn't think he would survive.
But when he opened his eyes, everything had changed. They hadn't survived; instead, they had been transmigrated into a fanfiction.
Now, Lando and his fiancé were trapped inside, lost in their own fanfic.

“It’s too late in the year for apples,” Max said, his voice softer now.
“But they like them,” Lando insisted, his words tight with stubbornness and a trace of guilt.
“But no one has them,” Max said, trying to keep the edge out of his voice. He glanced down at Lando’s leg as the younger stumbled to keep up. “How’s your leg?”
“Leave it, Max. I’m fine,” Lando muttered, not meeting his eyes.
Max didn’t push any further. He just nodded, though he watched Lando out of the corner of his eye, saw the way he favoured his left side, how every step seemed to pain him. Market days always took it out of him, the jostling crowds, the long walks, but Lando would never admit it.
Max raised his voice over the noise of the market as the rest of there group came into view. “I found him he was looking for apples!”
“It’s not the right season for apples,” George called back from where he was securing some logs to the back of his horse.
