Summary
This is a world where injustice is served to the citizens of the ruined city lying in the wastelands after the first war. The first bombs struck the east and tore apart life itself 7 years ago. The second bombs came from the sky and killed thousands. The third turned civilization into a surviving, bloodthirsty colony of soldiers, medics, and simple people who just want to survive.
The second war is on the brink of happening.
Organisations, defying the rules made for this civilization by their corrupted government, arose from the rubble and began to re-piece society bit by bit.
But not all of these groups have faithful intentions, and not all of them want to restore peace to the world. The second war is only a spark away from happening, and this time hatred alone can fuel powerful people into aiming the bombs where they want, at who they want.
Trust is fragile. Bonds are useless. Families are being broken apart by a thread.

5 months after a family moves on from their grief. Donatello is trying to act like the reason for said grief never existed.
It's hard to ignore when your family is constantly worried. It's even harder to ignore when the said reason is your other half.
This whole thing goes poorly as the time passes for him to cope and he knows.
He swears he does.
Or: Donnie pretending the invasion didn't happen and neither did Leo. It goes as well as you expect. Perhaps not well at all.

Okay. So this was a time loop. On the absolute worst day of their lives. This couldn’t have happened on the day Lou Mike Tony's gave them free extra pizza?
“Mikey, you okay?”
He turned to see Leo lying on the Staten Island lot between Raph and Donnie, just like before. But unlike before, Leo’s eyes didn’t drift to his surroundings. They caught Mikey’s face and stayed there. He looked…horrified.
Mikey felt a drop roll down his cheek, leaving warmth trailing behind. He reached up to wipe it away. It stung. Mikey turned his palm to see it smeared with blood.
"Just a scratch.” Mikey caught his reflection and winced. And he’d thought Raph’s eye looked bad... But the sting merely highlighted a realization.
This didn’t happen last time.
As he glanced back toward Leo, who curled up with jagged breaths and eyes pinched shut, a determination settled in Mikey. Just like how they changed things for Casey’s timeline, the events of these time loops weren’t set in stone.
And Mikey was going to do whatever it takes to save his brother’s life.

ORThis movie makes time travel canon and they think I’m NOT going to use it to time loop torture my favorite blue boy? Please.

Leo never wanted to be king. All those responsibilities, the meetings, the public speeches, the representation of the kingdom, it was RAPH‘s thing. It was Raph who was supposed to lead. Not him.
But apparently fate told him to go fuck himself and placed him on the throne anyway - so Leonardo might as well deal with it. At least he still has his personal guard and backbone, Yuichi Usagi to help him through the day without getting murdered or murdering someone.
So how comes that no matter how much time passes, Usagi doesn’t age a day?

Summary
He remembers what it felt like to open that portal, well, besides the pain.
It was as if a floodgate had opened. He felt like he was drowning in the energy.
Of course, the portal took a lot out of him. But after a few weeks of recovery, he could feel the raging ocean of power in his chest once more.
Nowadays, he would compare it more to a puddle in a desert.
Draxum’s only conclusion was that he just needed more practice. That his portal came so naturally because he was in a life-or-death situation, and his mystics responded to his severe distress accordingly.
Mikey didn’t have the heart to tell anyone that maybe Casey was wrong about him.
Maybe because they changed the timeline… he didn’t need his powers anymore. Maybe they would continue to drain until there was nothing left… Maybe his ninpō would follow.
He never voiced these concerns, obviously. His family had a lot more pressing matters than his stupid magic tricks not working.

What was it people said? There’s beauty in tragedy?
Mikey had never really got it. He liked happy endings. He liked stories to end pretty, with a bow on top and a funny end credits blooper reel. He liked bright colors and the chaos of happiness, of living wild and unafraid. He’d always thought tragedy was a cop-out for people who were too scared to dream big, too scared to dig in and really love life.
But Mikey could kind of see it now, if he squinted just right. Could kind of get it. There really was something beautiful about it all. The rubble and the smudges of smoke across the sky, like smears of charcoal. The fires burning like neon orange highlighter in a world gone gray. The way a last ditch effort could feel like a dance, set to the tripping rhythm of a fear fast heartbeat.
It was all raw expression, raw emotion. It felt like a soul stripped bare and screaming in rage-denial-determination. Burning as hot as it possibly could so, even if it burned out, it would leave a mark behind.
Yeah, he thought. He got it now.
When you knew you’d never see it again, even a world burning to the ground could be beautiful.
