“Jess—what you said, it’s kind, but it’s not true,” Wedge said. “You aren’t who you are because of me. You are who you are all on your own. You found her and you became her and I couldn’t be prouder.”
“I would never have had the opportunity to find her without you,” Jess said. “I meant what I said: I wouldn’t be here without you. And I don’t care the cost: I’d pay it.”
“I wouldn’t allow you to,” Wedge said gently. “I have lived a life. You are still living yours.”
“And I want you there for it,” Jess said firmly.

Four months have passed since the Resistance moved from Hypori to Ajan Kloss and Jess is struggling with what's happened during that time. When a mission becomes personal for her, General Organa calls in backup in the form of an old mentor and friend to copilot the mission with Jess and Poe. When their ship loses power and they crash-land on a planet, more will come to light than anyone anticipated.

You’ve always been one to fight the good fight—to stand up to oppressors. So do it. You own your own X-Wing. Take it and leave. Come with me. Fly for the Resistance.”

Poe left without a word over a year ago, leaving Jess to pick up the pieces and try to move on. When he comes back, Jess's world is shaken, leaving her to decide--can they go forward? Or has too much time and hurt passed?

Yeah, technically, they had a plan, but it was a stupid plan. It was the kind of plan that had equal odds of working or killing them both.
Karé didn’t like it.
“Pava, are you sure about this?” she asked. “Cause I have to say…I’ve worked with Dameron for a few years now and I know space-crazy and this seems more like good old-fashioned plain traditional crazy.”
“I know what I am doing and the risks that come with it,” Pava said confidently before she looked back over her shoulder at Karé and smirked mischievously. “Plus, it’ll be fun.”
“Oh yeah. You’re definitely crazy.”

The room is silent except for the beeping of monitors.
In 2023, Shane takes a bad hit on the ice. When he wakes up, the last thing he remembers is a tuna melt.

Summary
Shane Hollander has built himself around routine, his life blood is hockey. Struggling to understand his team off the ice and the people around him, he carves out a few silent hours to himself. It's just him and his skates. But the hard fought peace is fragile, like cracks in too thin ice. It only takes a slight impact to shatter. Shane is fighting to hold his team and himself together as everything comes crashing down around him.
Someone hacks into Rose Landry's phone in a club, they then release the images of Shane's texts online and all hell breaks loose. Shane is left to pick up the pieces. Ilya makes some choices in the aftermath that change everything. Shane decides to stop hiding and Ilya is a possessive asshole who makes it everyone else's problem. With far less reason to hide himself anymore, Shane begins to show more of who he really is behind the polite, media worthy façade. They instead find a team who are ready to fight the world for each other and a found family that has far reaching threads.
Maybe Shane can have both Hockey and Ilya. The world will just have to deal with it.
