Summary
He was willing to chip at it, at his father’s carefully constructed cage, bit by bit. He could make it clear that his body was not his; and what with everybody so keen to take control of it, he could make sure they know that everybody—anybody was welcome to do with it what they will.
(He didn’t hate his father as much as he hated himself anymore.)
It was a small rebellion, more or less invisible, but he could see it. And Neil Perry just wasn’t brave enough to rebel in bolder colours anymore.
After a failed suicide attempt, Neil is desperately trying to hang on to who he was before, but that person is slipping through his fingers. He’s not sure whether he ever existed at all.

Summary
Remus had once considered himself lucky. Staring wide-eyed at the old man who came to see him, because nobody ever came to see him before. Stepping through the big doors of the Great Hall and looking up, up, up into the artificial night sky. His friends telling him that they’re not scared of him, and won’t ever share his secret—never ever.
Remus had once considered himself lucky. But if he’s going to die either way, he wishes he could’ve just slammed the door in the old man’s face.
———
Or: Remus wakes up one morning to find his whole world turned.
In this new world his friend forced upon them, is there space for forgiveness?
