Updated to add a smutty chapter two. It has some spoilers for last night's episode (3x63), so beware! Just really needed to get some thoughts out about it because that ending was so wild and I loved it!
“Sometimes, I think my purpose in life is to protect you.” Laudna said, softly enough that if Imogen were sleeping it likely wouldn’t have woken her. “To see you through all this Ruidus, Predathos business.”
Imogen wasn’t asleep, not yet at least, and she laughed lazily, trying to hide the way her heart lurched at her words. “What, like the gods put you here just for me?”
