Summary
Charles thinks of most relationships in his life as a part of his own makeshift universe. Himself as Mercury – warm and alight and a direct embodiment of the character of the Sun, of Ferrari, of his legacy. He has so much to prove. So much to do. Too small a mind, a body, a soul, to be able to truly exude the mass of such a team and future and past.
He wonders, sometimes, about how the first planet to be decimated, go entirely frozen, should the Sun die, is Mercury.
He knows his hands are cold.
He wonders if he’s already half-way there.

Summary
Noah is blond. Shaggy and shorn too close to the scalp – nothing like Oscar’s soft, gentle brunette waves.
But he has a few moles that decorate his face, and deep brown eyes. Not really like Oscar’s (he doesn’t have the doe eyes that make Oscar’s so breath-taking, and the placement of his moles aren’t quite right), but just enough.
Just the right amount of Oscarisms for Lando to close his eyes, and imagine.

He hates James Potter’s guts, for stealing Sirius away at such an impressionable and vulnerable age. He hates James Potter for the easy love he has for everybody, the way he can light up a room without thinking. He hates James Potter for being so bloody good, and not having to deal with any of the bloody bad.
He doesn’t hate James Potter enough to not recognise the stirring in his gut as more than pure hatred.

Summary
They’re both passed identical keys, all fancy with a McLaren keychain and everything. They're given an address and told the new apartments are already fully stocked with trainer-approved food and branded apparel for the few weeks they’re spending in Woking.
Soon enough, they’re loading all their luggage into company sponsored cars and heading over to their second homes, Lando’s car trailing behind Oscar’s for the ten minute trip. It sparks an idea in his brain, or maybe a fantasy. Following Oscar at the end of a work day, just to see what he does when he’s on his own and has time to spare.
He would never actually do it, it’s just something to ponder.

The thing is, Lando Norris is no stranger to car crashes. He drives 800-kilo turbo-speed death rockets for a living, knowing how to react in a totalled vehicle is essential in his line of work.
It’s just that the automotive incidents he’s accustomed to usually involve him being in the car, rather than the poor sod being slammed into. Maybe that difference is the reason he’s seeing the light right now, ribs bruised and head reeling, as what could only be an angel leans over to get a look at him.
“Holy shit,” Oscar swears. “I just hit fucking Lando Norris with my car.”

This, obviously, doesn’t leave me with many opportunities for a part-time gig. When I’m not working, I’m studying, and when I’m not studying, I’m working.
