Summary
Modern AU - Katniss is a senior in high school, living in poverty and working as much as she can in her spare time to support her family. Haymitch is Katniss' AP English teacher that she avoids as much as possible. What happens when she enters a poetry contest to try to win a scholarship and she learns that no one has ever won from District 12 - that is, except for a certain sarcastic teacher of hers.
This is a story of grief, anger, perseverance, kindness and two lost souls finding each other in the madness.
While this is a Blue Car movie AU, you do not need to have seen the film to read this as I have taken some liberties with the plot to help it fit these two.

What could've happened if Megan and Lauren hadn't arrived back at the house when they had, and Sophie and Keith got a little more time together. What will happen as Keith and Sophie are left alone together with the power off and nothing but a piano to keep them occupied...or maybe there is one other thing they could do.
Essentially just an excuse to write some smut, and the sexual tension in the piano scene is ridiculous so I felt like it needed to be resolved so here we go.
