Summary
Delinquent Sunny AU, this takes place before the actual events of OMORI would; Basil, Sunny, Kel, and Aubrey all being 12-13.
In this AU, Basil hadn't been introduced to the gang by Aubrey at a young age, having been very sheltered by his grandmother, this is his first year going to actual school; as he had a tutor (Polly) home-school him in his younger years.
On his first day, taking the bus to school, he meets a black haired boy named Sunny.
God, what an asshole..

this is an idea based off the short animated film from a few years back entitled "Welcome to Hell". basically, sunny oyasumi'd himself off the building, and is given a job by mephistopheles himself, because well, he's just really overwhelmed right now, and he's trying his best, okay? anyways, sunny accepts this offer for a job, before even once hearing what he'll be doing, anythings better than hell, right? once back in the real world, he learns his purpose: convince people in the real world to commit suicide by haunting and tormenting them.
in fact, his first victim? they're already depressed, so this should be easy.. right?
well, what would've been an easy job is made a lot harder when his first victim is basil..
chaos ensues.

After four years of being a shut-in and homeschooled, Sunny's mom moves them to Faraway Town and insists Sunny goes to public school to finish out his high school years. He doesn't want to but his mom and sister insist he's ready. He wants to try to be as independent as possible, which means no ASL translators. If he's lucky, maybe no one at this school will even notice he exists.
He never expected to find someone who wanted to exist even less than he did.

“He won’t even fight back! Fucking pansy!”Basil quivered with anger and his own sobs as he closed in on himself. What these idiots didn’t know is that pansies were some of the most resilient flowers he’d had the pleasure to grow.
Another kick plummeted into his gut.
No matter what seemed to happen to them, they always seemed to pop back.
A punch hit his jaw, and he tried feebly to bite out at the hand that did it.
His grandmother ran over a bed of them with her car one time. All the blossoms died, but the roots remained.
The same hand roughly gripped his face, their stubby fingers digging in, clamping his mouth closed like an iron vice.Rain, snow, even hail, those stubborn flowers just never seemed to die.
His hair was being grabbed and pulled. Basil cried out in pain. Won’t they leave? They won, just go…
Those stubborn flowers just wouldn’t die.
