Kate teases her, “Is Jane Tennant blushing? That’s a first.”
Jane levels her with a look, the corner of her mouth upticks in the slightest of smirks, a raised brow to go with.
“I uh, have to go walk the fish,” Kate stumbles through her words, flustered by the older woman.
Lucy laughs unabashedly, turning her head to look at Kate. “Wow, Kate Whistler is rendered speechless. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I must say.”
Kate is knocked out of her stupor and squints her eyes at Lucy.
Lucy raises her hands in surrender and turns to Jane, “I’m just saying. What about me next?”

Vic reaches behind her, her hand sliding into Andy’s hair, clutching desperately. “I thought I said to behave.”
Andy grazes her teeth upon the smooth skin, tempted to leave bite marks- instead switching between delicate kisses and sharp sucking.
Andy pulls back slightly to whisper into the firefighter's ear, teeth lightly brushing against her earlobe, “You know me better than that, Hermosa. I never promised.”

Summary
Maya can see the shadow of Carina, but what she hears breaks her heart.
Carina shifts again, words on the tip of her tongue about to spill into the otherwise silent room. “No.”
Her words start small, but the distressed sounds become more prominent.
“You can’t go. You promised.”
Carina’s words turn into heartbreaking whispers.
“You left me. You left me alone; you sent me away. Why did you do that?”
Carina’s voice cracks at the end of her sentence. Maya feels tears prick at the corner of her eyes, threatening to fall so freely.
