Summary
The sun was setting. Ed was still gone.
He swallowed, trying to breathe through the rising panic in his throat. Ed always came back before sundown. It was one of their rules- come back before dark, no matter how pissed you are at the other person. No one benefits from getting caught somewhere in the dark.
or: diverging from S2E8, Stede wakes up in the jail cell with his crew.

Summary
"You can't just leave every time there's a problem."
"And you can't hurt people every time you feel hurt. "
Both regretted the words as soon as they'd said them. The words stung, but the most hurtful thing about them was that they were unequivocally true, and neither one could refute that.
or: Picking up from the end of season 1, Ed and Stede reunite. Both need to make amends- and learn how to love each other again.

Summary
“Anyway,” Zoro continued amid Sanji’s silence, “I’m not going to die.”
Sanji made a scoffing sound. “You can’t just decide that, asshole,” he said, tying off the thread. He trailed his fingertips over the jagged seam, checking for any imperfections. “You can’t cheat death.”
“We’ll see.”
To Sanji, Zoro is an enigma. An infuriating one, but one he is drawn to nonetheless. For as much self-assurance Zoro appears to have, Sanji has about as much self-doubt. If he can just understand what goes on inside that mossy head of his, maybe he can figure a few things out about himself as well.
Discovering that there might be something other than rivalry brewing between them, is something Sanji isn't quite prepared for.
(Rated M for explicit language, canon-typical violence and sexual content for later chapters).
