“James Potter, son of Euphemia and Fleamont Potter, was murdered alongside his wife Lily Potter. Their son, Harry Potter was saved by his mother's magic. Peter Pettigrew and twelve muggles were also found dead near the Potter manor. The murderer, Sirius Black, has been rightly placed into a cell in Azkaban.”

"that's black to you," he replied harshly.
no matter how cold regulus seemed in that moment, he was mere seconds from breaking down.
a look of pain flashed across james's face and he looked towards the ground, "fine, if that's how you want it." he stayed silent before continuing, "i just needed to apologize. i never meant to hurt you, reg-black. you were far more important to me than you think, i just had to get away for a while. look, i hate myself for what i did and it's understandable as to why you would too. i miss waking up everyday with you by my side, i miss your witty remarks, and i miss the way you used to do that thing with your nose when you laughed. i just-," he paused momentarily, "i miss us, okay. is that so hard to understand?"
regulus could feel the tears brimming his eyes. "if you missed us so much, you never would've left in the first place," regulus muttered pathetically, his voice coarse.

Summary
It is a bumpy start to the Marauders' sixth year. James Potter is having nightmares about the impending war but instead of talking to his friends about it, he spends his nights sneaking away. Trying to escape his family's involvement in the war, Regulus Black seeks refuge in the restricted section. It's there that they accidentally meet and have their first real conversation. James begins to visit the restricted section to spend time with Regulus, finding a strange calmness with him. Marlene McKinnon resigns from her position as seeker and captain of the Quidditch team, and James is unexpectedly thrust into the role. He turns to Regulus for help and ends up falling for him and his snarky and dirty comments. He struggles to come to terms with his sexuality and his growing feelings for his best mate's brother. Narcissa Black is trying to find herself as she prepares for her arranged marriage to Lucius Malfoy. She meets Marlene McKinnon at a pub, and the two slowly find solace in each other. Filled with drama and angst as the impending war grows more intense, and hearts are broken as difficult choices are made. The story follows the characters' decisions and which relationships will survive amidst the turmoil.

Summary
“Malfoy, we have to slow it down!” Harry yells over the growing racket of the time turner. Harry’s not sure how, exactly, they’re going to do that, but they have to try. Malfoy looks at him wildly, and hesitates for only a second before grabbing his arm.
Harry looks uncomprehendingly at Malfoy’s hand on his arm. “We’ll be stronger together!” Malfoy shouts. Oh. Right. The spell. Harry points his wand at the time turner, along with Malfoy. “Finite Incantatum!”
The time turner only seems to grow stronger. A bright light begins to glow out from the center of the device, reaching its edges over to Harry and Malfoy.
The last thing Harry sees is Malfoy’s worried face, and then darkness.
