The Drifter snarled in response and swung out at where he guessed the other’s torso would be. There was a tearing sound, a mix of cloth, meat, and something unnatural, before the hand on his neck released him. He immediately whirled, teeth bared and claws at the ready, only to find the Doorman merely adjusting his cuffs and affixing him with an unimpressed raise of his brow. There was no sign of damage on him, as though the wound that he had felt had never existed at all. Bastard.

Oh my fucking god this is so peak and goated and peak did I mention peak . Holding them . Holding this fic yp. Pointing. Do you SEE the IMMACULATE LORE this author has made. And I read it fo FREE !!!! I wouldve paid TOP dollar to read this!! I would pay another fifty to read a follow up story!!!! Deadlock depressingly has their character lore stuck in time due to being a moba, I will card and sniff the skin cells this writer drops just to get a whiff of what goes on in their brain so I can make up a sequel as good as this prequel. Holy aura . My 7hr plane ride was so ass but im almost wishing there was a person with plane psychosis on board so they could brutally assault me and afflict me with retrograde amnesia so I could experience this fic again. Going to read a fic damn this fic got hands. I like the way doorman is characterised in this because no he is not a soppy wet omg humanity good guy ue is a fucking FREAKIMAL who doesn’t fully understand consent and is soooo damn selfish and doorman isn’t a one dimensional murderhobo this guy is always starving and his hunger is so tangible. And the ending??? They’re both the same as before just a bit more tender!!! This ending isn’t they’re now succumbing to suburban life??!!
