4to año, post baile invernal. Tom sabe que barty se hace pasar por ojo loco pero como en el mapa ve a dos Barty Crouch (padre y Jr, pero el mapa no especifica) cree que Barty tiene un horrocrux.
Hermione y Ron saben del diario pero no saben de Tom.
