Her ceiling looks different.
She’s used to waking up to the pale ceiling of her quaint little Kyoto apartment. She knows about the tiny cracks in the corners of her ceiling, the bits of paint that’s peeling off that she really needs to tend to. Her schedule has been packed lately so she always schedules it for the next weekend, and then the next, and then the next.
