Summary
It’s been peaceful since Dr. Eggman’s last takeover attempt. With the evidence gone and the loose ends all tied up, the city of Sparkle Coast has returned to its normal routine just in time for summer. For the Chaotix Detective Agency, though, peace comes with a lack of consistent work. Now, they’re struggling to make ends meet. Again.
Until they get caught up in the doctor’s new conspiracy—one with a mysterious rival and an ancient power source. Sparkle Coast will be in even more danger if Team Chaotix doesn’t crack the case in time. To do that, they'll have to go through cases big and small, serious missions and silly shenanigans, old memories and new friends.
Together, they’re going to get to the bottom of this.

Summary
Doppo made it clear, drove it in: he didn’t want to celebrate his birthday. And though a part of Hifumi had hoped he would feel better and come around eventually so that they could have a party in their apartment that would keep them both in bed with hangovers (and each other), Doppo’s just been hurting, too out of touch with anything unrelated to his demons, those at work and in his head.
Part of Doppo’s wishes was that Hifumi wouldn’t even take the night off for him. Hifumi thinks he should have flat-out rejected Doppo, done something overbearing that would irritate the living daylight out of him because in Hifumi’s book, annoyance with his incorrigible childhood friend is better than going straight to spiraling at the idea that he’s worth any effort anyone puts forth for him.
