[Allura let out a sigh, her shoulders slumping. “We may have a problem with Keith,” she admitted, and Lance almost stumbled. Keith?? Since when has Keith had any trouble on a solo mission? Allura continued, “He seemed to have cracked his helmet while on Xanfor. He breathed in what I assume to have been a substantial enough amount of its atmosphere.”
“Substantial enough for…what?” Lance questioned, beginning to feel his own worry for his teammate bubble up in his chest. He and Keith may have a competitive rivalry going, but it was all friendly! He did still care for his hot-headed, slightly annoying teammate!
Allura hummed, as if trying to think of a response. Eventually, she said, “Xanfor’s atmosphere…if enough of it is breathed into an organism’s body, it can alter chromosomes.”
“Wait, so…” Lance’s mind was whirling. Chromosomes? Like DNA? Is Keith going to die?!?
“It changed Keith…to a female.”]
Keith gets a free temporary sex change, courtesy of a strange planet's atmosphere, but luckily Lance swings both ways.

Hey no, it was fine. He just needed to breathe. No big deal, he could do it. Yeah. He had his appendix taken out when he was ten; he broke his arm twice the summer he turned fourteen; he split his head open trying out a stunt on his skateboard just last year… Lance was no stranger to pain. So then why the hell was this stupid tattoo freaking him out so much?

Summary
When Allura tricks the team onto a planet whose atmosphere lulls those who breathe it into being honest and open in an attempt to increase the paladins bond, the team isn't exactly happy. However, since this is the situation they find themselves in they decide to make the most of it. Now, sitting in a room until the effects of the atmosphere wear off they talk about their families on earth, fears, failures, and hopes. Lance tries his best to avoid opening up, but finds his friends and teammates are more accepting of him then he thought. There is just one thing he really wants to keep a secret-that he's pining hopelessly over a certain greasy mullet.
