Or: Volo finds out that the skyfaller had Arceus's phone number this whole time and is unbelievably upset about it. Luckily, the teen is more than willing to let him borrow their phone, for purely innocent reasons of course.

Still, hating silence as he does, Volo speaks anyway. “What's wrong with you today?” then takes a bite of food like he has doubts Emmet will actually answer.
“Why were you so late?” Emmet asks, repeatedly dipping his fork into the broth and taking it out again without actually eating anything.
Volo tilts his head, mouth half full. “What? Oh.” he pauses to chew, then swallow. “That wasn't my question.”
Emmet looks at him. He furrows his brows. Volo huffs and sighs.
“I have things to do other than to sit around here. They ran late today.” He shrugs, like it's obvious, and Emmet supposes that it is. “Why?” He grins and leans over the table. “Did you miss me?”

Jacinthe's smile deepens and darkens into a smirk as she almost saunters back into the closet to pin Corbeau to the wall, hands already finding purchase in that expensive suit of his as she presses her body right against his. "That is only if I don't make you come first, Mr. Corbeau. And you should know...I always get what I want."
That devilish smirk on his face in response only drives her crazier.

Zagreus balks, then shakes his head. “Ah, no thanks, mate. I’m good.”

The words were spoken calmly, while Bucky kept his eyes locked onto the gangly form prostrate in the dirt outside. When he’d spotted it in a casual pass of the window, he’d experienced shock for all of half a second before he’d quickly transitioned into acceptance and wariness.
He stepped back from the window as Steve rushed up, a damp blue dish towel in his hands. Steve’s eyes immediately narrowed in on the form that was face down by the tomato plants. It was a good sign that Bucky wasn’t hallucinating, and a bad sign in that it meant the corpse in the garden was real.
Steve gave Bucky a look, the corners of his mouth sternly downturned.
“I didn’t put it there,” Bucky said, just in case that was in question.
