"You like me," Dazai states, but it's almost... uncertain. It's like he can't quite decide whether he's making an accusation or asking a question. It would be endearing, Atsushi thinks, if the circumstances were any different.
"I-" Atsushi starts, but frankly, he has no idea where he's going with that, so instead he breaks off into a short, slightly hysterical laugh. "That's not true."
"Yes, it is," the other man replies, sounding a lot more certain now, and oh god, that's definitely a smirk making its way across his lips. He takes a step forward, only for Atsushi to scramble backwards several steps. "You like me," he repeats, sounding positively gleeful this time, the bastard.
