Summary
Flying back to Cherry Street, weaving reckless in the dark, it comes down to this: Dick is the only one of his siblings that Jason has any real claim on. Dick is the only one of that whole mess of victims to Batman's cult of self-immolation who belongs to Jason. Even more than that - Dick is the only person in the world who he shares a parent with, who knows what it meant to be the Robin to Batman of nearly ten years ago.
It's just not the same anymore.
So if Dick fucking kicks it, Jason's the only one left. Jason becomes an only child. Jason becomes the last of his kind. Jason becomes the sole keeper of that memory, of a brotherhood shared under a man who no longer exists. There is no way to replace Dick, because the world that they lived in together is gone, and can never give Jason a surrogate.
The Red Hood pulls the thread on a mystery big enough to bridge the distance between two cities, two brothers: The plot they unravel is far deeper and darker than a garden-variety drug trafficking scheme. A story about siblingship, hauntings, and rivers.
1. Ostium, osti(i): Latin noun, II Declension: Door, opening; (river) mouth; entrance (to the underworld).

Summary
Jason came back from the dead, and now he’s a walking paranormal event. Cold aura, glitchy tech, spooky room, occasional object levitation—it’s a whole thing. The family’s mildly alarmed but mostly just roasting him for being the undead roommate from hell.
Everyone except Dick.
Dick’s just thrilled Jason’s alive again. Glowing eyes? Relatable. Breathing optional? Same. Haunted bedroom? Bit dramatic, but okay. Dick doesn’t see the problem, which is confusing, because everyone else is one ghost-hiccup away from calling Constantine.
To be fair, Dick is a god in a human body—he just doesn’t talk about it. Mostly because he forgot, kind of on purpose. Besides, he’s busy showing Jason TikToks and ignoring the nausea-inducing ghost energy leaking from the walls.
Everything’s fine.
Probably.

Summary
"Y'know," Ollie says, as he follows Dick into the kitchen, "I get you think it's not your place, but I am capable of talking things out. You don't have to immediately resort to passive aggressive power plays."
There's several quips Dick could make, about passive aggressive power plays basically being his love language, about shitty role models, about– Well. He doesn't make any of them.
Instead, he hops up onto the kitchen counter, takes the donut Ollie offers him, and says, "If I apologise, can we just skip the heart to heart bit?"
sometimes love is making your sorta-kid talk out his feelings for once in his damn life / spoiler alert: they do not skip the heart to heart bit
